OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturing
- Satu lisensi untuk satu komputer. Jadi apabila motherboard komputer tersebut rusak, maka lisensi hangus
- Certificate of Authenticity (COA) mesti ditempel pada CPU
- Tidak memperoleh box
FPP = Full Product Package
Harga FPP lebih mahal dari harga OEM, akan tetapi lisensi FPP melekat pada pemiliknya. Sehingga apabila hardware pengguna rusak, ia tetap bisa menggunakan pada hardware lain.
Certificate of Authenticity (COA) FPP sudah ada pada box-nya. Jadi jaga kotak / box ini jangan sampai hilang.
OLP = Open License Program
- Hanya dapat dimiliki perusahaan
- Minimal pembelian 5 License plus 1 CD
- Membeli OLP Product berarti hanya membeli lisensi untuk menggunakan produk tersebut. Bila pemakai belum pernah menggunakan product ini maka harus membeli CD yang berisi software tersebut
- Windows XP tidak ada versi OLP-nya
nah lho...gimana coba ?
padahal punyaku sendiri Windows XP "aspal" SP3....liat aja harganya...hehehe
